Although it looks like dried mango, it is not mango. It is sometimes referred to as pineapple melon, but the only thing it has in common with pineapple is that they taste quite similar. It is a Cantaloupe melon - the smallest of all melons with green skin and bright orange flesh. It has a very sweet taste and is therefore a great substitute for sweets. It contains significant amounts of antioxidants, potassium and also B-complex vitamins. In the kitchen it is used as an ingredient in dips and marinades, but it can also be used in RAW and baked desserts. It will be a delight in breakfast yoghurt, porridge or muesli. Children will enjoy it as a snack for school or on a trip.
