Yellow mustard (it can also be referred to as white mustard) originated in southern Europe, but nowadays it can be found grown anywhere with a mild climate. As we all know, it is from the seeds that mustard is made, but it can be used in marinades, in preserving vegetables and fish. In (for us exotic) India they put roasted mustard in clarified butter (ghee), which gives it a nutty flavour. Among other things, the seeds are used in curry paste and various spice mixtures.
